Safety

Support, not crisis care.

What Nola can help with, what it cannot do, and where to find crisis or emergency support.

Last updated: July 10, 2026

If you are in immediate danger or thinking about harming yourself or someone else, contact local emergency services now. In the US, call or text 988. Elsewhere, use findahelpline.com.

What Nola is for

Nola is for the in-between moments: anxiety, panic, racing thoughts, sleep spirals, overwhelm, anger, and the times you need one concrete calming step.

What Nola is not for

Nola is not emergency care, crisis response, therapy, diagnosis, medication advice, or a replacement for a human professional. It cannot guarantee that it will detect every crisis or understand every risk.

How Nola tries to be safer

If Nola gets it wrong

AI can misunderstand. If Nola says something that feels unsafe, irrelevant, or wrong, stop using that suggestion and seek human support. You know your situation better than the app does.

Professional care

If you have ongoing distress, trauma symptoms, panic attacks, depression, self-harm thoughts, or sleep problems, consider speaking with a licensed clinician. Nola can support the space between sessions, but it should not be your only support when symptoms are serious.
